Candea Credit was incorporated on 6th December 2012 in Kandy the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka, by its founder, Mr. Channa Jayatilleke a Chartered Management Accountant (UK) by profession. He was the past President of Lanka Microfinance Practitioner's Association (2011 to 2013) and Board Member of the South Asia Microfinance Association (2012 and 2013).
Candea Credit is one of the fastest growing, new generation micro credit organizations in Sri Lanka. In its mission statement the organization is committed to the Triple Bottom Line (3BL) concept to focus on People, Planet and Profits, expands the traditional reporting framework of financial performance also to encompass ecological and social performance.
The organization serves low income and underprivileged rural female community, who needs access to the full range of financial services to generate income, build assets, smooth consumption and manage risks.
Candea Credit currently has micro credit operations in the following branches Kandy, Matale, Gampola, Rikillagaskada, Kegalle,Nitambuwa, Mahiyanganaya, Bandarawela, Hatton Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Dambulla, Chilaw, Hinguraggoda, Kanthale and Nikaweratiya, along with 700 centers in Sri Lanka. The organization aims to expand its operations in to other regions in near future.

He was the past President of Sri Lanka Microfinance Practitioner's Association (2011 to 2013) and a Board Member of the South Asia Microfinance Network (2012 & 2013). Mr. Jayatilleke has represented Sri Lanka at the Asia Micro Finance Forum in 2011 (China) and Seep World Microfinance summit in Washington D.C. – 2012. Mr. Jayatilleke counts more than 25 years of experience in the fields of Corporate Finance, Microfinance, Treasury, and Accounting here and abroad.
